How to request/ update Work Group Manager Access
To add, change or remove a Self-Service Manager, please submit a Service Request form.
Where 10 or more Work Group/ Work Group Manager changes are needed, (for example as a result of a restructure) they should added to our 'Template for bulk updates' Excel spreadsheet and sent directly to hr.systems@admin.ox.ac.uk. Instructions on what data to submit is detailed on the spreadsheet. All Manager changes must be approved by the Head of Administration and Finance (or equivalent).
Please refer to these specific points when making any type of access change, including switching between 'Manager' and 'Sharing Approval' access:
- Tick the 'Add Work Group' option
- Select which level of access they are changing to.
Background information relating to Work Group Managers
This role is usually assigned to the person who oversees the team (ie 'Work Group'), although departments may choose to assign this role to other staff members, where it is appropriate to do so.
To view the current list of your Work Groups and Self-Service Managers, run the PERDEP16 HR Self-Service Work Groups report. We recommend you run this report on a regular basis, for maintenance and to comply with GDPR.
